Class Descriptions
Aerobics: A cardio based workout to music.
After Lunch Walk: A re-energising gentle walk.
Archery: The sport of kings, great fun and good for beginners.
Back 2 Back: A series of back strengthening exercises to align the spine and prevent back problems. Also helps to relieve pain.
Body Chill: Balance and stability exercise including whole body stretches to music.
Body Resist: Power band workout to challenge every musle in the body.
Body Toning: A full body workout designed to condition the muscles, incorporating body bars, dumbbells and fit balls.
Boxfit: Just like Boxercise but not to the music with aspects of self defense and martial arts moves.
Cardio Splash: Cardio based exercise in the water.
Circuit Challenge: Circuit based exercises to condition your cardiovascular system and strengthen your muscles.
Core Stability: Exercises to strengthen and condition the deep core muscles incorporating Yoga, Pilates and Swiss Ball moves.
Dance a Size: Strictly Come Dancing right here at Cedar Falls - incorporates all styles of dance.
Fit Ball: Whole body workout using Fit Balls, Soft Balls and Medicine Balls - great for the core muscles.
Freestyle Fitness Yoga: A combination of yoga style moves with music - a more dynamic yoga.
Guided Relaxation: This is a healing meditation using visualisations and deep breathing techniques. We also offer guided relaxation by CD.
Gym Based Training: An informative introduction to gym based exercises using fixed machine, cardio equipment and free weights.
Harmony: A combination of Tai Chi, Chi Kung and eastern dance moves.
Hatha Yoga: Hatha also known as Hatha Vidya is a particular system of yoga introduced by Yogi Swatmaramaa, a Sage of 15th Century India amd compiler of the Hatha Yoga Pradidika.
Legs, Bums & Tums: A cardio based class using floor based exercises to condition the legs, abs and glutes.
Move & Groove: A Latin based aerobic dance to music with floor exercises.
Power Walk: A fast dynamic walk.
Pure Abs: A whole abdominal workout to tone and flatten the stomach.
Tai Chi: This is the series of slow movements you see performed in the parks, in China early in the morning. There are many benefits to be gained from practicing this ancient art form.
